Exception is basically an instance that does not conform to a rule or generalization. Excepcion Group with a ‘‘c’’ is therefore an organization whose basis is strictly on Christian standards. The group was founded in 2017 by three close friends, Keith Chikhwaza, James Vokhiwa, and Blessings Nyirenda. The organization’s base is in both southern and central region of Malawi, Blantyre and Lilongwe. Since 2017 the group has been recruiting several artists: Ghoass, Bro Man, Tisa, Smaq T, Cue One, Handsome, Spikker, Zuma Jr., John Kaunda, and Praise Naledii Chikhwaza. The Group just recently released their debut album, The Excepcion on 28 November 2019.
