Jamaican dancehall artist Busy Signal is scheduled to visit Malawi from August 12 to 15 for a charity mission, according to Nyasa Times. Marking his third trip to the country after headlining music festivals in 2016 and 2022, the musician is shifting his focus from performing to community outreach. He is partnering with Malawian gospel singer Wendy Harawa in a joint project between the Busy Global Initiative and the Wendy Harawa Foundation. The organizations plan to distribute school supplies, provide meals for children, and engage directly with local youth.

In local event news, the Cape Maclear International Film Festival is set to take place in Mangochi District from October 15 to 17, according to Nation Online and the Mthandizi events platform. The three-day festival will bring together local and international filmmakers, artists, and students for a program featuring film screenings, workshops, live music, and community activities.

Update: Following earlier announcements regarding the Lake of Stars Arts Festival, organizers have confirmed the 2026 event will run from October 2 to 4 in Nkhotakota, according to The Southern African Times. Operating under the theme 'Inspire. Connect. Invest. Celebrate.', this year's festival will focus on cultural exchange by presenting Malawian live music, visual arts, storytelling, and fashion alongside international collaborations.
