Kasungu District Commissioner Dr. Lawford Palani has established special committees to monitor the initiative and ensure ongoing compliance across the district.
Security protocols at local health facilities were tested when a 21-year-old woman was arrested for impersonating medical staff. According to Nyasa Times, the suspect was apprehended on August 10 after personnel at Machinga District Hospital in Liwonde noticed her wandering the wards dressed as a colleague. She falsely claimed to be a student on work-based training before hospital authorities grew suspicious and alerted the police.
