Finally, eighty healthcare workers from public hospitals in Lilongwe have completed training in early lung cancer detection to improve patient survival rates, according to Nation Online. Organised by the Facilitators of Community Transformation in partnership with the Malawi National Cancer Centre, the initiative trained clinicians, nurses, and laboratory technicians to thoroughly investigate persistent coughing and establish standardised early diagnostic pathways.
