In film news, the internationally recognised Malawian acoustic duo Madalitso Band is the subject of a new documentary titled 'The Banjo Boys'. The Music of Africa publication reported on March 21 that the film, directed by Johan Nayar, chronicles the musical journey of original street performers Yobu Maligwa and Yosefe Kalekeni. The documentary is scheduled to screen at select film festivals in April 2026.
