The Malawian urban music scene saw a rush of new releases this week, headlined by a major collaboration from hip-hop artist Gwamba. According to the Malawian music platform Amati Zambiri, Gwamba released a new track titled "Alole," featuring Kineo and Teddy Makadi, on April 9. This musical release follows his recently announced departure from a two-year brand partnership with Betway.
Several other local artists also dropped new projects on April 8. Amati Zambiri reports that Shine Vigor released the "Special Day EP," while Chizmo Sting put out a new single titled "Winner". Additionally, recording artist Nava released a new track called "Mayamiko".
In live entertainment, local performer V3nja continued his regional concert schedule with a live show in Zomba. According to Shazam event schedules, V3nja performed at the Student Hall on the evening of Wednesday, April 8.
